About Den Norske Klub - London
Den Norske Klub (DNK) has been a meeting place for Norwegians in London for over 125 years. DNK is the oldest club of its kind in the UK and a focal point for the Norwegian community. History of DNK
DNK arranges dinners, lunches, talks etc, offering great opportunities for networking and meeting others. Our membership represents a wide range of activities, from business and industry to the creative arts and the Norwegian community in general.
Membership of DNK brings many additional advantages, such as access to a top-end gym at weekends, entry to the famous Roof Gardens night club in Kensington, discounts on goods and services, and the quarterly magazine Northern Lights.
DNK has its premises at No. 4, St James’s Square, London W1. The building, a magnificent Grade II listed town house in a classical Georgian style, is owned and operated by the Naval & Military Club, also known as “The In & Out”.
Most of DNK's large functions take place in the King Harald V room on the first floor. This sumptuous ballroom, adorned by portraits of the Norwegian royal family, has seen a number of royals and other Norwegian personalities over the years. His Majesty King Harald V and Her Highness Princess Märtha Louise is an honorary member of DNK.
The monthly Friday Drinks take place in the Canning Bar on the ground floor, see Events.
